This Audi ad is about a Dad and his daughter. It has major feminist undertones and I love that it wasn't just a normal ad but they chose to air it for the Super Bowl, which is a male dominated event.

I like this commercial because it effectively tells a story. The ending is cute and comical, but also shows how inventive the technology was for the car in 2011. I also love how they were able to appeal to Star Wars fans, as Darth Vader and the background music are both very recognizable.

This Best Buy ad was the only one I remembered from the 2011 superbowl. It encourages keeping your phone up to date by alluding obsolete phones to Ozzy Osbourne who is "out of date" and replacing him with Justin Bieber who is "current".

Parris Davis__Superbowl Ad

     I love this ad. I picked this ad for a few different reasons. Honestly I love the way that Morgan Freeman is able to convince you of almost anything. I felt as though this was also a subtle yet strong combatant of the recent controversial and dividing acts made by the orange virus that some people call their president (I'LL BE DAMNED IF I DO!). It sends a positive message about the fact that differences should not necessarily be looked upon as a negative thing but as a opportunity to explore the unknown and get a better understanding of cultures, beliefs, and practices other than your own. I also appreciate that it has strong marketing. I actually wanted to go on an adventure after watching this ad.

Although I thought that a lot of other ads were funny or creative (like Buick or Honda), I overall thought that Tide did the best job. Prior to the Super Bowl, they released teaser videos about how terrible the dry cleaner is.

During the Super Bowl, the old man Bradshaw, from their teaser commercials, had a stain on his shirt while he was talking to an announcer. I even thought why the heck would someone let him in front of a camera like that?

The next commercial was a tide commercial. Following the commercial break, Bradshaw was back with the announcer with a clean, bright white, shirt.
