One of the main ideas that I feel is important to know is campaign tracking. When you track a campaign you want to know how well your campaign is doing. A method that the book suggested was having people call a day after the ad campaign, and tell them what they thought. When adverters get that feedback they can make adjustments if needed.

One of the main ideas expressed in chapter 10 is personal selling. Personal selling has its advantages and disadvantages. Some of the advantages that personal selling has are attention of buyer and immediate feedback. The disadvantages are that personal selling is expensive and has a low reach.

In Chapter 5 one of the main ideas was product placement. Product placement is when advertisers pay for products to be in a movie to create brand awareness. Even without the viewer knowing that the product is in the movie product placement still can give the brand a healthy image. When using product placement it is important that it fits the storyline of movies. I think that product placement is a great way of advertising, because it's not a intrusive form of advertisement. It's also a form of advertisement that gets me to consider to like the product if I like the movie. I also like that it can be as simple as a person in the movie drinking a soda that you like and that's the end of the advertisement. I like it when advertisements make me feel good and when I watch a good movie an advertisement makes me feel good. Product Placement is so natural in movies and that's what I like the most about it.

One of the main ideas in chapter 4 is the the 'three-hit' theory. This theory is the theory that if a person sees an advertisement three times then they are more likely to buy the product. The first two exposures they are figuring out what it is and by the third exposure they make a decision to buy it. I have seen multiple advertisements, and one thing rings true about this rule is that the first two times I see an advertisement I'm still trying to figure it out. Once I see the third advertisement I start to consider it or I get annoyed with it. I think there is no set magic number that helps advertisers figure out how many times someone needs to see an advertisement to consider buying it, but I do believe that a company does have their own set number that they need to figure out.. If companies figured this out then they would be golden. I think the biggest mistake that businesses make is having too high of a frequency, and making people annoyed with their advertisement. They then become the annoying business, because their advertisement is seen by people too many times.

In chapter 2 one of the main ideas that I took away from the chapter was the idea of values relating to the product. An example of this is the one that the book gave by telling us why mothers loved Kraft. I think this is interesting that if you dive in deeper to why someone likes something then that can help you develop a brand value. One brand that a really like is Coca Cola. It's refreshing and makes me happy. One of Coca Cola's core values is to make people feel good and you can see that they achieved this. Coca Cola wouldn't know how their product effected people unless they did research just like Kraft. If consumers like myself didn't let them know why we enjoyed a product then they wouldn't know what their product's core values should be.
