Narrowcasting is when advertising reaches very specialized markets. The book uses MTV as an example, MTV is used by advertisiers in the Untied States and many other countries to reach teenagers and young adults. The book also mentions CNBC and it reaches a highly educated and affluent audience, The Travel Channel reaches an influential audience that likes to explore, and ESPN is very popular with advertisers who want to target men of all ages.
